5 Signs Your Washing Machine Needs Repair

By Wazy Appliance Repair Team · · 1 min read

Washing machines give you plenty of warning before they fully quit. Here are the five signs we see most often before a washer breaks down completely.

1. Loud banging during the spin cycle

A washer that bangs or vibrates excessively during spin often has worn drum bearings or suspension rods. This one gets worse fast — don't ignore it.

2. Not draining properly

If clothes come out soaking wet or you see water sitting at the bottom, it's usually a clogged pump filter or a failing drain pump. Easy fix if caught early.

3. Leaking water

A small leak becomes a flood. Door seals on front-loaders and inlet valve connections are the most common culprits.

4. Burning smell

Stop the machine and call us. A burning smell usually means an overloaded motor or a belt that's slipping. Don't run it again until it's inspected.

5. Error codes that won't clear

Modern washers are good at telling you something's wrong. If an error code keeps coming back after you reset it, it means the underlying issue hasn't been fixed.
